Raven Gray grew up as an outsider in Sanford Florida , the lone wolf, the girl no one really understood. Sarah Gray changed her name to Raven at the ripe age of 17 years old due to bullying. She wanted to kill her old self and emerge into her truest embodiment of self. Raven spent most of her time in school writing lyrics, she hated high school, she dropped out and decided to finish online, she was able to graduate early. Raven spent her summers in her bathroom singing into her Rhode microphone using YouTube beats. She felt this magnetic pull inside her dragging her to Los Angeles where all the producers live. Raven drove 3,500 miles across the country with nothing but 600$ in her pocket. She knew no one and she slept in her car for months while meeting random people online and ending up in studios.
She dealt with the trials and tribulations of nightclubs and drug addiction and through it all she rose from the ashes. "The city of Los Angeles adopted me" she says. Raven has now lived in Los Angeles for five years and will be going on her first European tour in October 2024 alongside Mimi Bark's. Along with music Raven is a huge advocate for the sober community. She speaks at high schools and youth groups about mental health, the dangers of addiction, overdose and sex trafficking and how she found God through all of her pain. "I couldn't go a day without listening to music" "being on stage is better than any drug I've ever tried" "I want to be alive I want to be awake I want to be present" "I want to touch the hearts of thousands of lost souls and let them know they're never alone" I asked Raven if she had anything else she wanted to say.. her blue eyes smiled back at me and she said..πππππππππππππΉππ
